Joe Walsh, known for his guitar playing in the Eagles, has been sober for multiple years, and has spoken openly about his journey to recovery.  

Eagles guitarist and rock icon Walsh got sober in 1994. 

Following an intervention by his bandmates Glenn Frey and Don Henley—who told him they wanted to reunite the Eagles but only if he got clean—Walsh entered rehab and committed to a sober lifestyle.

He credits Alcoholics Anonymous with helping him stay sober. 

Walsh has shared that he initially struggled with alcohol and drug dependence, but found a new life after seeking help
