Brian “Head” Welch — the legendary guitarist from KORN — didn’t just get clean.

For years Head was deep in the fire: methamphetamine, alcohol, the whole destructive rock-star nightmare. The band was exploding, the money was flowing, the darkness was winning. He was losing everything — his family, his health, his mind. The elephant in the room (alcohol & drugs) was sitting on his chest and laughing.
Then one day… church.
Head had a real, raw, life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. He walked into that church broken, addicted, and hopeless — and he walked out free. He quit meth cold turkey. No rehab. No 12-step program at first. Just the power of God and a decision to surrender everything.
He left KORN in 2005. He wrote the book Save Me From Myself. He started telling the truth out loud — on stages, in churches, on podcasts, anywhere people would listen. He became a full-throttle advocate for recovery through faith. He didn’t hide behind the “rock star” image. He stood up and said:
“I was a meth addict. I was dying. Then God saved me.”
That was over 20 years ago.
Head has been clean and sober-minded ever since. He came back to KORN in 2013 still on fire for God — and the band respected it. He’s still rocking. Still creating. Still testifying. Still pointing people to the same freedom he found in that church.
